What Is CookAids?
CookAids is a free kitchen toolkit at cookaids.com. It converts cups and grams, scales recipe servings, and turns oven temperatures and cooking times into numbers you can use while you cook. The calculators do not require an account. Optional print packs are sold separately.
A free kitchen toolkit
CookAids is built for the moment a recipe and your kitchen do not use the same units. The kitchen tools page lists 12 calculators, including a measurement converter, recipe scaler, cooking-time calculator, ingredient substitution finder, oven temperature converter, yeast converter, baking-pan converter, portion calculator, butter converter, oil smoke-point guide, pasta and rice water ratios, and a calorie estimator.
The measurement converter is ingredient-specific. One cup is not one weight: the tool uses 120 g for all-purpose flour, 200 g for granulated sugar, 227 g for butter, 240 g for milk, and 185 g for rice, among 20 ingredients with their own cup weights.
What you can do on the site
- Convert a measured amount for a named ingredient (cups, grams, tablespoons, teaspoons, milliliters, ounces, pounds).
- Scale a recipe by servings. The recipe scaler divides the desired servings by the original servings and multiplies each amount you enter by that factor.
- Estimate roasting and baking time by weight for beef, chicken, pork, lamb, and other cuts, and convert Fahrenheit, Celsius, and a Gas Mark reference chart.
- Read practical kitchen guides that sit next to the calculators.
- Buy optional PDF packs if you want a sheet you can tape to the cabinet. The calculators stay free.
What CookAids is not
CookAids is not a culinary school, a meal kit, or a recipe magazine. It does not ship groceries, and it does not replace a food thermometer. Cooking-time tools estimate. Doneness is still an internal temperature.
Paid downloads are three short PDFs and a library that includes all three. Each single pack is $7.99. The Complete CookAids Library is also $7.99 and sends all three files. There is no crossed-out “was” price on that library.
